Welcome New Incoming and Returning Undergraduate and Graduate Nursing Students,

The de Tornyay Center for Healthy Aging warmly welcomes you to a new academic year. The Center serves as a catalyst for promoting healthy aging through its support of research and education in the field of gerontology. We look forward to providing resources and learning opportunities to increase your knowledge about and passion for healthy aging. We extend an invitation to each of you to join us for several exciting fall activities, and we are thrilled to be able to provide healthy aging research and travel scholarships again this year.

Conference Travel Scholarships
The de Tornyay Center is proud to support graduate students presenting their aging research at regional, national and international conferences.

Gerontological Society of America (GSA) conference travel scholarship application deadline: Wednesday, September 26 at 5 p.m.

A symposium highlighting innovative healthy aging research by UW School of Nursing students, faculty and alumni. Come learn about the exciting research that is being done by our colleagues and meet the investigators.

Join us for Journal Club with Dean Azita Emami and Dr. Sue McCurry, Research Professor. We will critique a study of music and memory [Kwak et al (2018). de Tornyay Healthy Aging Research Scholarships
Apply for a Healthy Aging Scholarship. Pair up with a faculty mentor and complete and submit your application. School of Nursing undergraduate and graduate students are eligible.
